Team
People, positions, wages, and availability
Add employees and positions on Team. Wages, date of birth, phone, hire date, skills, and availability all feed Auto-Fill and Call Sofia.
Team is two lists: Employees and Positions. Auto-Fill, Call Sofia, claims, and the time clock all read from here. A login (membership) is separate — see Roles and invites.
Positions first
A position is a named role on the roster (Cook, Floor, Bar) with a colour.
- Open Team.
- Add a position. Pick a colour so the schedule grid is readable.
- You need at least one position before a shift can exist.
Skills can be typed on the person. After a couple of shifts on a position, Sofia can suggest that position as a skill from history — the suggestion is a hint in the editor, not a silent write.
Add a person
Click to add an employee. The fields that actually drive the product:

| Hourly wage | Auto-Fill cost factor, labor vs sales, earned-so-far. Hidden from members. |
| Employment type | Full-time / part-time / casual — used in fairness and access-to-hours. |
| Max hours / week | Personal cap. Auto-Fill will not put them over it. |
| Positions | Qualification. They cannot be Auto-Filled, claimed, or swapped onto a position they do not hold. |
| Skills | Extra tags the scorer and Call Sofia can see. |
| Availability | Windows per weekday. 00:00–00:00 means the whole day. A window that ends before it starts wraps past midnight. |
| Date of birth | Minor-labor rules. Stored on the private compensation document. |
| Phone (E.164) | Call Sofia matches inbound caller ID to this. +614… / +1…, not a local 04. |
| Hire date | Coverage ranking, most-senior-first when the store asks for it. |
| Good-faith estimate | Median hours and on-call flag. See Time off and leave. |
Save. Inactive people stay in history but drop out of Auto-Fill and the kiosk.
Availability
Without windows, Auto-Fill treats the person as unavailable. Split shifts and overnight wraps are merged before eligibility runs — you do not have to draw every fragment.
Wages and privacy
Hourly wage is not on the membership document members can read. Labor $ on the schedule is manager-only. Do not put a wage in a name or a note.
Phone numbers
If they will call the store line, the number must be E.164. Call Sofia identifies the caller against this field. A missing or local-format number is a failed identify, which becomes an escalation, not a covered shift.
