Sign up and create a workspace

Create an account, name the organization, set the time zone, and add the first location. You can change all of this later in Settings.

Admins Open in the app

A workspace is the organization: one tenant, with locations, people, and a roster underneath it. The person who creates it becomes owner.

Create an account

  1. Open Sign up.
  2. Enter Your name, Work email, and a Password (at least 6 characters).
  3. Click Create account. You can also continue with Google from the same screen.

If you already have an account, use Sign in instead.

After sign-up, Sofia sends you to onboarding. You do not have a workspace yet, so the rest of the app is gated until this page is finished.

Name the organization

On Set up your workspace:

  1. Organization name — the venue or company, e.g. Blue Bottle Coffee.
  2. Time zone — IANA zone (America/New_York, Australia/Sydney, …). The list is every zone the browser knows, not a shortlist. Shifts, the time clock, and fair-workweek windows all use this zone. Guessed from the device; change it if the guess is wrong.
  3. Your first locationLocation name (defaults to Main) and an optional Address.

Click Create workspace. You land on Sofia, not the dashboard: subscribe ($200 this store) or skip, then add a workforce agent when you are ready. The first visit also shows a short spotlight (Dashboard, roster, the line, the clock, Settings). Skip it if you already know the building.

You can rename the organization, add locations, and change the zone later in Settings.

What exists on day one

  • One location.
  • You as owner.
  • Empty team, empty week.
  • Default compliance and fairness rules, which Auto-Fill will use the moment you have people and shifts.

Add people and positions next, then build the week. To bring colleagues in, invite them.

Invited instead?

If someone sent you a link, open it while signed in (or create an account with the invited email) and you join their workspace. You do not run this onboarding flow. See Roles, invites, and who can do what.
