Sofia
Ask Sofia (the in-app assistant)
A grounded, read-only assistant over the current week. It can tell you open shifts, Cover listings, labor, and overtime risk. It does not write the roster.
Ask Sofia is a read-only assistant over the current week. Managers and above. It does not Auto-Fill, publish, or text staff.
What to ask
Suggested starters on the screen:
- How many open shifts do I have this week?
- What's listed on the Cover waitlist?
- What's my labor cost this week?
- Who's approaching overtime?
- Who has the most availability to cover a shift?
Answers are grounded in the week loaded for the selected location. If the model cannot ground, a labelled deterministic fallback answers from the same data — you can see which source produced the reply. That label is the product, not a disclaimer buried in a tooltip.
What it will not do
- Write or unwrite a shift.
- Approve a claim or a punch.
- Invent Cover dispatch. Cover is a waitlist; it will tell you what is listed.
- Quote a wage to a member — members cannot open this screen.
How this is not Call Sofia
Call Sofia is the phone line: a policy engine that can write in-policy late / call-off / swap. Ask Sofia is a chat box that reads. Do not conflate them. The language model in either place does not get to override rest rules.
After you know the hole
Go to Schedule. Auto-Fill, claim, or list Cover. The assistant will not do those clicks for you.
